The #1 Student Response Suite!

This is the best!  This site enables teachers to quickly create and send out a set of questions, prompts, or even a quiz. Young students can easy access activities on any device by entering a five digit code. My favorite features are the ability to have questions read by simply clicking on the audio button, and the drawing response to answer questions.  Oh, and it is Free!

High Tech Show and Tell Apps!

Use Doodle Buddy to engade students in learning by completing paperless worksheets.  Take a picture of your worksheet to load it into your photo Library.  Allow the Doodle Buddy App to access your photos and you are set up!  Once the work is finished, take screen shot to save the child's work to a virtural file.

Take pictures on your iPad and add them to Story Maker along with text created by your students.  This App also allows you to add narration.

The Show Me App gives users a recordable white board.  This exciting board can also be used as an informal chalk board.

Come on, Take Your iPad and Run!

Turn your iPad into a wireless Keyboard and Mouse!  The Air Keyboard App will enable you to use your iPad freely to control presentations, SMART Board Software, and your computer from anywhere in the Wi-Fi connected area.  Once you have downloaded the Air Keyboard App to your device you will need to visit http://airkeyboard.skygears.com to download the application to your computer.  After you open the app on your iPad you will need to select the computer you want to control from our school’s list.  (You will see a list very similar to the reflector list.)  I was lucky enough to download this exceptional App for free.  When I checked the price today, Air Keyboard cost $0.99.  This app is well worth the price!

Mirror iPad Image Using the Reflector App

I first learned about ReflectorApp.com on Pinterest back in October. After reading and watching a promotional video I was eager to try their 10 minute free trial. I was so impressed with this short demonstration that I contacted the company. This company is easy to work with and offers outstanding tech support. It accepts purchase orders and is on the BCS approved vendor list. The teachers at my school and I find this application to be outstanding for a very small price.

Click the link below to watch a 3 minute demonstration on the Reflector App in action and learn about unique uses for the classroom!

Helpful Advice:  It is a good idea to turn off notifications before projecting before any audience. : )

Teachers Check Out AdaptedMind

Start here to learn and assess Math!
This site has amazing math practice, instructional videos, and worksheets for grades 1-6! Go to www.AdaptedMind.com and click on "Become a Member." Under the "Become a Member" button you will see the link that says, "Teachers - Enroll your class for free." Enter your school email and wait for your verification response. Continue to follow the instructions in the email to create a free Teacher account. I will give you a heads up that you will need to include a personal phone number, and a representative will call you for a follow-up on your opinion of the site. I am going to post a link to AdaptedMind under the "Teacher" tab on our web page for you to access easily. Let me know if you would like me to use this wonderful math practice with your students in the lab. What I love about this site is students have the option of having the questions read to them. The sad news is the site doesn't offer anything for kindergarten. Let me know what you think!
