The End of the Third Marking Period is Approaching Quickly!

The third marking period ends on Monday. It would be a great idea to have all grades entered into GradeQuick by the 23rd. This way you won't have to work outside the "GradeQuick window." Comments can easily be entered up until Friday the 27th, which is the day they are due. This marking period we will be using comment columns C5 and C6. Only effort (EE) in "C5" and wings (WW) in "C6" will be noted in the comment columns next to homeroom. Your other two required comments can go in any other subject. You may want to put general comments in the handwriting grade book.

Lab, Café, and Server Use

Between March 16th and May 1st the Lab will be used for Writing Assessment and TechSteps, and the Café will be used by Mrs. Stump for Specials. During this time, the Café will be open for check out between 10:40-1:20 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and 11:30-1:20 on Mondays and Thursdays. This is during Lunch so the students will need to work in pairs. If you need help utilizing your classroom computers to complete an activity, that’s why I’m here. Please ask. I can Co-teach with you, bring in extra equipment, and set up stations.
The Lab’s primary use will be for the scheduled Writing Assessments. Once the scheduled class has finished the assessment they will need to vacate the lab. It will then be free to be used by another class to do TechSteps. I realize the end of the day time frame will work better for some teams. It is my hope that if we can get some classes finished now we will have the space to complete others after Writing Assessment. I will be meeting with the Blue Angles and Rumsey’s Fleet to develop a waiting list for the Lab to do TechSteps. As your “hostess” I will work with you and your class to do preteaching for the lessons and come to get you when seating becomes available in the Lab. A class will remain at the top of the list until they have completed a project. This may take a few days.
Two of the teams have been informed about the server and have logged in for the first time. The server still needs some adjustments in its set up. Once all teachers have been trained on logging into the server, I will have a short meeting to show its use. In the meantime, please do not use the server without assistance.
